Heralding the start of a new era for Amels’ famed Limited Edition series, the next generation Amels 60 continues to build on the Dutch shipyard’s legacy. Since its introduction in 2019, demand for this 60-metre superyacht has grown, with six units of the series sold. A significant leap in terms of design, performance and sustainability, the Amels 60 stands out in her class, not just for her remarkable features but also for the unique collaboration behind her special concept, which brings together celebrated designers. A ‘future-proof’ classic according to the Damen brand, the exterior of the Amels 60 was designed by the renowned Espen Øino. Her timeless exterior styling includes distinctive lines and geometric shaping that Øino is known for. Øino’s work is characterised by his stellar creativity and attention to detail, a testament to his reputation built in the competitive Monaco yacht design scene.

Building on the success of Amels’ former Limited Edition range, we take a closer look at some of the features that make the new Amels 60 a truly exceptional superyacht.

One of Amels’ 60 most distinguished features remains her customizability, offering owners the unique opportunity to tailor the interiors to their preferences. Renowned design firms, including Harrison Eidsgaard, Winch Design and studio Burdifilek, have all been tasked with creating one-of-a-kind, completely custom interiors for the Amels 60, working with diverse fabric, finishes, materials and colour schemes to fully bring each individual owner’s vision to life. For example, for the Amels 60 ‘Come Together’, Winch Design created a refined interior that exudes a calm, beach-inspired ambience. In contrast, Harrison Eidsgaard created a warm and inviting environment for ‘Ultra G’ through a blend of diverse materials and colour schemes. This level of personalisation extends throughout the Amels 60, with the possibility of including a helipad on the sundeck, adding a touch of elegance and functionality.

The sundeck itself is a marvel, stretching 27 metres and equipped with an outdoor cooking station, teppanyaki grill, and an extendable dining table that can accommodate up to 18 guests. This area can also transform into an outdoor cinema, perfect for evening entertainment and includes a jacuzzi for her owners to enjoy 360-degree views while they relax. Her extensive outdoor spaces are another key feature of the Amels 60, which

further impresses potential owners with the extended beach club and a large swim platform measuring 38 square metres, ideal for sunbathing and as a launch pad for water toys. The tender garage in the foredeck can accommodate a nine-metre limousine tender, another standout feature. Her upper deck is home to a spacious saloon, with room for a bar, seating and alfresco dining on the aft deck for up to ten guests.

Accommodation on the Amels 60 is generous and luxurious, as she can host up to 12 guests across six staterooms, including the stunning main deck master suite with a private balcony, lounge area, walk-in closet and his and her bathrooms. Her lower deck offers three double ensuite staterooms and two convertible twin ensuite staterooms, offering flexibility and enhancing her potential for chartering. In terms of performance, the Amels 60 is equipped with hybrid-electric propulsion motors, ensuring a smooth, quiet, and environmentally friendly voyage. This hybrid system leads to reduced noise, vibration, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and emissions. She boasts a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots and a top speed of 15.5 knots.

A masterpiece of modern yachting, the Amels 60 combines luxurious comfort, customizability, and eco-conscious engineering.
